- The model and serial, from the rating plate. On a range it is usually behind the kick panel or inside the door frame.
- What the appliance is doing, in plain terms, and when it started.
- Whether anything changed just before — a storm, an outage, a kitchen clean.
- Your address and the best window for a visit.
