What owners said after the visit
Rated 4.4 out of 5 across 34 customer reviews. All 34 are printed below, the awkward ones with the rest.

How to read these
Each entry is one visit: what failed, what was measured, what was changed and how the call ended. They are printed as they were given to us, first name and last initial. The entries that are less than glowing are printed with the rest — a wall of nothing but top marks tells a reader nothing, and a van that has never had a part arrive wrong is a van that has never been out.
Nothing below quotes a figure. What a visit costs sits on the pricing page, where it can be checked against the invoice, and what happens afterwards is set out on the warranty page. If an entry describes the fault on your own appliance, the service records explain how that symptom is usually diagnosed.
The figure, and where it comes from
4.4 out of 5 is the arithmetic mean of the 34 entries on this page, rounded to one decimal, and nothing else. It is not a number chosen because it reads well: the build fails if the published figure and the entries stop agreeing. The rating is emitted only on pages that print the entries it averages, so the housekeeping pages and the 404 carry no rating at all.
You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour is billed.

The hood had started humming loudly and vibrating the cabinet. He found the blower had lost a balance weight and replaced the wheel, then packed the mounting so the cabinet stopped amplifying what was left.
Percival R.2026-08-18
Our built-in had started sweating along the door frame in August. He explained the humidity load in this house, checked the seal and the anti-condensation circuit, and replaced a seal that had gone hard at the hinge.
Naomi W.2026-08-15
One zone of the cooktop had stopped responding to the controls entirely. He found a control lead that had been pinched during the worktop fitting years ago and finally chafed through. Repaired and re-routed clear.
Hollis P.2026-08-11
Our refrigerator had been running warm for a fortnight and nobody could say why. He checked the airflow behind the panel and found the return path choked with dust from the renovation next door. Cleared and correct since.
Everett S.2026-08-06
Heat was leaking out of the top of the oven and taking the paint off the cabinet above. He replaced the door seal, adjusted the hinges and told me plainly that the cabinet damage was not something he could put right.
Elspeth A.2026-07-27
Our range would light on every burner except the large rear one, which turned over without catching. He found the orifice partly blocked and the electrode sitting too far from the cap, cleaned and reset both.
Roscoe M.2026-07-21
The glass surface had a crack starting from one edge and I expected to be told to buy a new one. He explained what had caused it, sourced the surface alone rather than the full unit, and fitted it cleanly.
Mabel S.2026-07-13
The unit was cycling on and off every few minutes and never getting anywhere. He read the pressures, found the start relay chattering and swapped it and the overload together rather than guessing at one.
Sheryl T.2026-07-04
Water was creeping out along the bottom of the door and staining the floor. He found the tub gasket had shrunk at one corner and the door slightly out of square, fitted a new gasket and reset the door.
Antonia B.2026-06-30
Wall oven kept cutting out mid roast without warning. He traced it to a loose connection at the terminal block that had been arcing quietly for months, repaired it back to the panel and checked the run.
Lachlan R.2026-06-16
Living on the water has not been kind to the range. He cleaned corrosion off the burner heads, replaced two that were past saving, and treated the trim so it stops eating into the stainless underneath.
Gideon H.2026-06-09
The cooktop kept turning itself off part way through cooking. He found the unit overheating because the cabinet beneath had been boxed in with no gap at the back, and opened up the clearance it needed.
Ingrid M.2026-06-02
The oven had stopped heating altogether and the display was still lit, which had two other people telling me it was the board. He measured across the element, found it open, and that was the whole fault.
Alonzo P.2026-05-26
The machine had grown noisy enough to hear from the next room. He found the circulation pump bearing on its way out and replaced the motor assembly, then checked the mounts underneath while it was pulled forward.
Casimir L.2026-05-19
The oven light would not go out and the glass had gone cloudy from the heat. He fitted a new switch, replaced the inner glass and cleaned the vent path where grease had built up behind the trim.
Osvaldo G.2026-05-11
One speed on the hood worked and the other two did nothing. He replaced the switch bank and found a connector that had corroded green inside, cleaned the block back and sealed it against the same happening.
Odessa H.2026-05-04
The freezer was building a skin of ice on the ceiling of the compartment. He found the defrost heater had failed at one end and the drain frozen behind it, replaced the heater and thawed the line properly.
Ilona D.2026-04-30
The hood lights had gone and taking them apart was clearly not a job for me. He fitted new lamps and the holders that had melted around them, and checked the transformer that had been cooking them.
Tobias G.2026-04-21
The dishwasher would fill and then sit there doing nothing. He found the float switch stuck up on a build-up under the tub and freed it, then checked the level of the machine so it would not stick again.
Rufus E.2026-04-08
Our oven had been throwing a fault code and locking itself. He read the history off the control, found an overtemperature event logged, and traced it to a fan that only stalled once the cavity was hot.
Karina J.2026-03-30
Roasting had gone unreliable and I had blamed the recipes. He put a probe in and showed me the cavity swinging well past what the dial said, then replaced a tired sensor and reset the offset against it.
Twyla B.2026-03-13
A burner would only stay lit if you held the knob in. He replaced the thermocouple and cleaned the pilot assembly, then checked the other burners for the same wear before he left. Two were on their way.
Lorenzo K.2026-03-06
Glassware was coming out etched and cloudy. He checked incoming water temperature and hardness before touching the machine, adjusted the rinse setting and found a softener that had run dry months ago.
Gordon Y.2026-02-25
Wine storage had been sitting a few degrees above where it was set for months. He found the door heater circuit shorted, which was loading the cabinet, and replaced it. Steady ever since, though it took two visits.
Bruno C.2026-02-14
The extraction had gone weak enough that the smoke alarm went off most weeks. He measured at the canopy, found the ducting crushed in the loft where somebody had stood on it, and told me what needed doing.
Nikolai D.2026-02-03
Cutlery was coming out with food still on it. He measured the pressure at the lower arm, found the inlet screen half blocked with scale and cleared it, then showed me where the screen sits for next time.
Delia W.2026-01-29
The oven door had gone stiff and would only shut with a shove. He stripped the hinge assembly, found one hinge bent from a heavy tray, replaced the pair and set the door true against the frame.
Marcy L.2026-01-18
Our lower oven never matched the upper one, sometimes by a wide margin. He measured both settled and adjusted the lower against the reading rather than the dial. It matches now, and he was clear that it would drift again eventually.
Bridget V.2026-01-06
The fault was found and the cooktop is working. My complaint is the estimate came verbally on the day and in writing only after I asked, which is not what I was told to expect when I booked the visit.
Jerome T.2025-12-20
Broil worked and bake did not, which had me expecting the worst. It turned out to be a relay on the control rather than the element, and he was able to change the relay instead of the whole assembly.
Thaddeus N.2025-12-05
The fan works properly again. What lets it down is that the first appointment was missed without a call, and I had to ring the next morning to find out what had happened before it was rebooked.
Serafina C.2025-11-26
The diagnosis was right and the unit is cold again. What I did not enjoy was the two weeks between the diagnosis and the part turning up, and having to ask twice for a written figure before the work started.
Quentin F.2025-11-12
The repair itself was sound and the burner has behaved since. Communication was the weak part. Nobody let me know the part had come in, and I found out only because I rang to ask about something else.
Renata K.2025-10-09
It works now, but the first visit ended with a diagnosis I later found was wrong, and the second technician disagreed with it in front of me. The second visit was excellent. Getting there was frustrating.
