Who publishes this site
Ballast Point Appliance, an independent appliance repair company operating from Orange Park, FL, in Clay County. There is no walk-in location, so no street address is published.
Trade marks and the limits of what we claim
Ballast Point Appliance is an independent appliance repair company. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Viking or its parent company. All brand names and model numbers are the property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the appliances we service.
Viking is a trade mark of Composition Brands. It appears on this site in plain text, in the site's own typeface, only to say which appliances we repair. No manufacturer logo, brand typeface or brand colour scheme is used anywhere here, and nothing on this site is published with a manufacturer's approval or on its behalf.
What the pages are, and are not
The service and district pages describe the work we do and the conditions we find in this part of Florida. The service records are written after a visit, in general terms, to explain how a symptom is usually diagnosed. None of it is instruction for a repair you intend to carry out yourself. Appliances of this kind combine mains voltage, gas and sealed refrigerant systems, and work on them is a job for a technician who is qualified for it.
The reviews page carries customer feedback from visits we have made, printed as it was given to us, with a first name and a last initial. The score shown beside it is the arithmetic mean of exactly those entries and is published only on pages that print them. We do not write feedback we did not receive, we do not remove an entry for being unflattering, and we do not attach our score to goods that are not ours to rate.
Terms a repair is carried out under
- Diagnosis. $129 flat. Flat diagnostic fee, credited toward the repair when you approve the work.
- Estimate. You get a written estimate before any part is ordered or any labour is billed. It names the part, the price of the part, and the labour, as separate lines.
- Approval. No part is ordered and no labour is billed until you approve the estimate. An approval given by phone is confirmed back to you in writing.
- Parts. Genuine OEM only. Where a part is discontinued we will say so rather than substitute an equivalent without telling you.
- Payment. Due on completion of the work described in the approved estimate.
- Warranty. 90 days on labour, 365 days on parts, genuine OEM parts. The full terms, including what is outside them, are on the warranty page and form part of these terms.
- Access. We need to reach the appliance. Built-in equipment that has been cabinetted in, tiled against, or plumbed without a shut-off may need work by another trade before we can proceed, and we will tell you that rather than force it.
Where we will not go
We take Viking work only. If the appliance turns out to be another make we will say so and there will be no charge for the visit. We do not advertise or run emergency, after-hours or 24-hour service.
Availability of this website
The site is static and hosted on Cloudflare Pages. We make no promise about uninterrupted availability, and prices, terms and coverage stated here can change — the version in force for your job is the one on your written estimate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the State of Florida. Nothing in them limits any right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be limited by agreement.
